What HAUSMARK Stands For

HAUSMARK

“Haus” (derived from haus, German for home) In this context becomes a grading symbol, a mark signals premium service, careful design, flawless execution, quality finishing - adherence to German standards of excellence.

“Mark” represents our seal of quality—a rating system that is independent, data-driven, and resistant to bias or influence.

HAUSMARK Vision

  • Celebrating excellence at the same time protecting property owners from costly mistakes.
HAUSMARK Wax Seal Symbol

A Symbol of Trust, Etched with Meaning

The Hausmark Seal is inspired by the timeless tradition of wax seals — once used to protect, authenticate, and dignify important documents. Our seal carries five engraved values, each representing a core principle we believe every renovation firm should embody:
Together, these engravings form the foundation of the Hausmark Seal. When you see it, you’re not just seeing a score — you’re seeing a symbol of trust, earned through action.

HAUSMARK’s Seal of Quality

What Makes Us Unique?

Unlike existing review websites and platforms, the HAUSMARK is:

Built by property owners in Singapore sharing real renovation experience and insights into interior design decisions

Built by property owners, for property owners

We are property owners ourselves who lived through the renovation process – so we know what really matters.

Independent and unbiased

No paid placements, no barter deals, no sponsored content. ID/renovators can’t buy their way in.

What It Means for You

Not all ID/Renovators excel equally in every category. This means:

Prioritize Your Needs

Decide which categories matter most to you — e.g., design creativity, project management, or after-sales support.

Compare Firms Strategically

Use the matrix to see which ID/Renovator matches your priorities, rather than expecting perfection in all areas.

Manage Expectations

Understanding that an ID/Renovator may be stronger in some areas than others helps you make informed choices and avoid disappointment.

“Not every design earns a mark — only those that leave one”

HAUSMARK’s Review Framework and Cycle

How We Select, Evaluate, and Recognize Firms

A Note to Property Owners

Any ID/renovator awarded across all scorecard parameters is considered strong across all 9-point evaluation matrix, they’ve passed our rigorous evaluation and are safe to explore. But every property owner’s needs are different. Some firms may excel in space planning, others in customer service, design creativity, or project execution.

Use the seals as a trusted reference and a good starting point, not a final verdict. Even firms with 1 Seal can sometimes outperform 3 Seal firms — especially in the areas that matter most to you. It all depends on which pillars you value more.

Explore each firm’s strengths, portfolio, and approach to find the right match for your renovation goals, lifestyle, and budget.

* Why We Don’t Disclose the Number of Firms Reviewed

HAUSMARK conducts a selective, merit-based evaluation of renovation firms each year, but we intentionally do not disclose the number of firms reviewed annually. This allows us to focus on quality over quotas, and ensure that seals are awarded based solely on performance, not volume.
