RENOVATOR’S SCORE CARD
Professionalism (Score: 9.0 – Elite)
Hausmark Inspector Experience:
Sky Creation is a highly coveted renovator with an extensive portfolio of design awards, accreditations, and industry recognitions. Their credentials are unquestionable, and they are widely described as “Singapore’s most award-winning and professionally accredited renovation firm”, a reputation corroborated across multiple sources. With operations spanning Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai, their regional footprint reinforces organisational maturity and cross-market capability.
From our engagement, we sensed that the designer spoke with conviction, clarity, and contextual awareness, drawing from broad regional exposure. The proposal felt like a distillation of accumulated experience, shaped by diverse project environments and grounded in practical understanding.
Despite their scale and accolades, the renovator remained down-to-earth. There was no overselling, no push toward unnecessary state-of-the-art installations, and no attempt to impose posh concepts the customer did not ask for. Instead, the walkthrough focused on practical, live-in installations that aligned with real homeowner needs, a hallmark of strong service behaviour and professional conduct.
Overall, our experience has been above expectations of a highly decorated renovator.
Customer Engagement (Score: 8.0 – Superior)
Hausmark Inspector Experience:
Even before our visit, Hausmark carried high expectations of Sky Creation. Their reputation—shaped by both official channels and industry grapevine- preceded them. Despite having visited nearly 60 renovation firms, our inspectors felt a rare mix of anticipation and the quiet worry that such expectations might set the stage for disappointment.
The showroom sat along a row of nostalgic shophouses, beside an old-school bread shop (yes, we bought a bun). With a prior appointment arranged, the designer was already waiting at the glass doorway, welcoming our team into a black-and-white themed showroom with a minimalist, composed atmosphere.
Despite Sky Creation’s many accolades, the designer carried no airs, only warmth, grounded confidence, and the professionalism aligned with Hausmark’s expectations of service behaviour and professional conduct.
We were guided to a discussion table where the designer conducted the session in a systematic and experienced manner. Her line of questioning was structured, her explanations of material choices clear, practical, and homeowner-centric. The engagement unfolded in two parts:
- Requirements discussion — thorough, methodical, and focused on understanding lifestyle needs.
- Showroom walkthrough — a showcase of mock-up installations that helped us visualise our intended design using real materials and setups.
The walkthrough was particularly informative, bridging imagination with tangible examples and reinforcing the firm’s strength in practical design communication. In a gesture of openness, the designer even brought us into areas typically “out of bounds”, including the CEO’s office, reflecting a culture of transparency and “nothing to hide.”
Throughout the walkthrough, each proposal was clearly articulated: the purpose of each fixture, the underlying design concept, and a systematic breakdown of pros and cons to help homeowners understand trade-offs.
Although the discussion area was modest in size, it felt cosy and energetic. We noticed Sky Creation team members walking past with genuine smiles, and at one point, we were honoured to meet the boss lady, who warmly invited us to their open house, complete with an offer of wine after our cheeky officers asked about food and drinks. This interaction gave us confidence that the firm fosters a positive internal culture, and satisfaction at work often translates into satisfaction in project delivery.
Project & Site Management (Score: 7.8 – Superior)
Hausmark Inspector Experience:
Sky Creation brought us to a home at the final carpentry-installation stage, where the overall feel of the site was calm, controlled, and confidently managed, with a spotless environment that immediately reflected disciplined housekeeping, strong safety awareness, and a team that takes workflow organisation seriously.
Carpentry workmanship was consistently strong, expected from a firm with its own in-house carpentry factory, enabling tighter QC and more predictable finishing standards. Inspectors also observed thoughtful design execution throughout the home: storage carved into crevices, beam recesses, and unused pockets; mechanisms engineered to access dead spaces without disrupting aesthetics; and purpose-built solutions that conceal clutter while maximising daily practicality. In our opinion, these touches conveyed an intentional design philosophy, homeowner-centric, and deeply aware of how people actually live. The designer reinforced this impression by demonstrating technical fluency on-site, clearly explaining the rationale behind each installation and how form, function, and spatial logic were balanced.
Sky Creation also outlined their structured site-management approach, anchored by a master schedule shared with homeowners, milestone-based on-site checks where the designer briefs subcontractors to align expectations, and timely WhatsApp updates that maintain transparency and reinforce a sense of steady, reliable progress from start to finish.
Fun Fact:
Experienced IDs like Sky Creation can recommend smart storage ideas and optimal placement for fixtures, but it’s still the homeowner’s role to share your lifestyle needs and daily habits — after all, you’re the one living in the space, and only you know what truly works for your home.
Design Standards (Score: 8.4 – Superior)
Hausmark Inspector Experience:
To Hausmark, design standards are never defined by aesthetics alone. A high-quality design must be functional, live-in friendly, and aligned with the homeowner’s lifestyle. Sky Creation demonstrated this clearly, which is why Inspectors awarded them a high score for design standards.
In their proposal, there was clear consideration of kitchen workflow, space planning, and appliance integration. The designer had evidently done her homework; she understood the kitchen layout down to the inch and could confidently state where each appliance, washing machine, dryer, and others would fit. We also observed strong capability in maximising small spaces and using nooks and crevices to minimise dead zones, a crucial skill in Singapore’s space-constrained BTO/HDB context.
The proposal exceeded our expectations, with thoughtful touches such as dead-space utilisation and lighting strategies to enhance liveability. The only minor observation, from our inspector who personally prefers bolder concepts, was that the design could have been more adventurous. This was not a shortcoming. Given the designer’s capability, we are confident the designer would have proposed a bolder direction had it been explicitly requested. To be fair, the layout we have provided was space-constrained, naturally limiting the degree of design exploration possible.
To Hausmark Inspectors, we felt that this level of design thinking reflects a renovator who does not merely decorate but reconfigures space intelligently to improve liveability, a hallmark of strong design standards and experience quality.

Eco-Social Responsibility (Score: 9 – Elite)
Hausmark Inspector Highlights:
Sky Creation stands out as one of Singapore’s most comprehensively certified green renovators, with eco-credentials that span materials, office operations, environmental management, and building performance. Their breadth of certifications positions them not just as participants in sustainability, but as pioneers in sustainable interior design, consistently demonstrating a depth of environmental responsibility that few renovators match.
Showroom Quality & Craft (Score: 7.0 – Strong Performer)
Hausmark Inspector Highlights:
Tucked within a row of old shophouses, the showroom sits conveniently in the heart of Singapore. While the reception area felt slightly dated, the interior revealed a deceptively deep space with hidden corridors and multiple rooms, each showcasing a different mock-up, from a kitchen and study to offices and even a karaoke corner. Along the walkway, walls lined with certifications and trophies reinforced their long-standing credibility.
Material samples such as laminates and tabletops were adequately displayed for selection. Despite its modest footprint, the space felt intentionally curated: simple yet expressive, bold yet balanced, and ultimately a conducive environment for homeowners to explore ideas with clarity and comfort, supported by a strong sense of design direction.
Fair Pricing & Terms (Score: 9.0 – Elite)
HAUSMARK Inspector Highlights:
The contract T&C was one of the most comprehensive and clearly defined we have reviewed. It provided clear documentation of the scope of works, processes, and procedures, payment breakdown, materials, and standards of work, making it a truly robust and transparent agreement. As a CASETrust-registered company, their after-sales warranty and payment terms were also well documented, giving homeowners strong confidence in the process. The payment schedule followed a four-stage structure — beginning with a 20% deposit and ending with a 5% retention — fully aligned with CASETrust recommendations and reinforcing their commitment to contract transparency. The contract T&C was standard and considered fair. There were no clauses requiring further scrutiny.
The quotation provided detailed, itemised quotations that clearly explain how each cost is calculated, with no hidden charges, making it easy for homeowners to understand the breakdown. Our assessment of the quotation was reasonable, falling within the mid-tier range, with consideration given to the use of higher-quality mechanisms and wood materials.

Online Presence (Score: 7.0 – Strong Performer)
Hausmark Inspector Highlights:
Sky Creation has a strong social media presence and a solid base of public reviews, with the vast majority reflecting high customer satisfaction and consistent praise for their service. While there were one or two recent comments about designer lapses or workmanship issues, our clarification showed that these cases were eventually resolved, even if not as smoothly as the complainant had hoped. It is important to note that these isolated remarks are significantly outweighed by the volume of positive feedback, reinforcing Sky Creation’s standing as a dependable renovator with a well-established reputation.
Sky Creation may have internal reasons or a deliberate business stance on not responding to every public comment, but from a Hausmark perspective, there is an opportunity to strengthen their already solid reputation by responding more visibly and consistently to feedback. Even light-touch acknowledgements would signal active ownership, reinforce their commitment to service recovery, and further enhance public confidence in a brand that is already well regarded.
Fun Fact:
Take unverified reviews with a pinch of salt. No harm referring to them but always refer to HAUSMARK as your baseline reference and more importantly to perform your own due diligence by visiting and speaking to the renovators before you commit on one.
